Tyler, The Creator - Cherry Bomb (Translucent Blue Vinyl 2LP)

Cherry Bomb is the third studio album from Tyler, The Creator, originally released in 2015. One of the most experimental records in his catalogue, the album pushes beyond his earlier hip hop sound with distorted production, jazz-inspired arrangements, soul, funk and punk influences, capturing Tyler at a pivotal stage in his development as a producer and songwriter.

The album features fan favourites including DEATHCAMP, FIND YOUR WINGS, SMUCKERS, FUCKING YOUNG / PERFECT and OKAGA, CA. Guest appearances are woven throughout the record, with contributions from artists including Kanye West, Lil Wayne, ScHoolboy Q, Kali Uchis, Pharrell Williams, Charlie Wilson and Roy Ayers.

Written and produced primarily by Tyler himself, Cherry Bomb moves deliberately between abrasive, distorted tracks and lush melodic passages. Its combination of hard-edged rap, jazz chords, live instrumentation and soulful arrangements foreshadowed the increasingly ambitious production Tyler would explore across his later albums.

This 2025 vinyl edition presents Cherry Bomb across two translucent blue vinyl LPs in a gatefold jacket and includes an 8-page booklet. The vinyl sequence also includes the bonus track Yellow.
