Usher - Coming Home (Clear Vinyl 2LP)

R&B superstar Usher returns with Coming Home, his ninth studio album, originally released in February 2024. Arriving eight years after Hard II Love, the album celebrates the smooth vocals, infectious rhythms and timeless songwriting that have made Usher one of the most influential figures in contemporary R&B. Blending classic soul influences with modern hip-hop, pop and Atlanta's distinctive musical sound, Coming Home reflects both his remarkable career and his continuing evolution as an artist.

The album features an impressive collection of collaborators, beginning with Good Good, featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage. The track combines relaxed R&B production with reflective lyrics about moving forward after a relationship. A-Town Girl, featuring Latto, celebrates Usher's Atlanta roots with a playful interpolation of Billy Joel's Uptown Girl. Cold Blooded, featuring The-Dream, explores a darker atmosphere, while Coming Home brings warmth and intimacy to the album's opening sequence.

Other highlights include Risk It All, a powerful duet with H.E.R. originally associated with the 2023 film The Color Purple. Ruin, featuring Nigerian producer and singer Pheelz, introduces an Afrobeats influence, while Kissing Strangers and Bop showcase Usher's ability to move between romantic ballads and rhythmic contemporary R&B. Tracks such as Stone Kold Freak, BIG and I Am The Party add energy and variety to the collection.

The second half explores more intimate territory through songs including On The Side, I Love U, Please U and Luckiest Man. Margiela and Room In A Room demonstrate the album's atmospheric production, while One Of Them Ones continues its blend of contemporary R&B and classic soul influences. This vinyl edition concludes with the bonus track Standing Next to You (Usher Remix), featuring South Korean superstar Jung Kook.

Recorded primarily in Atlanta, Coming Home reunites Usher with music executive L.A. Reid, an important figure in his early career and the success of his landmark 2004 album Confessions. The project also features contributions from established producers and songwriters including Jermaine Dupri, The-Dream, Tricky Stewart and Sean Garrett. Released around Usher's celebrated Super Bowl LVIII halftime performance, the album reinforces his lasting influence on R&B and popular music.

This 2025 clear vinyl double LP edition is pressed on two clear vinyl records, presented in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves. Featuring twenty tracks across four sides, including the Jung Kook remix bonus track, this edition offers a comprehensive vinyl presentation of Usher's acclaimed return.
