West Side Story: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Limited 2LP Translucent Blue Vinyl)

This soundtrack presents the music from Steven Spielberg’s 2021 film adaptation of West Side Story. Leonard Bernstein’s score and Stephen Sondheim’s lyrics remain at its heart, with the new cast’s performances carrying the musical’s movement between romance, tension and sharply drawn ensemble scenes.

Maria, Tonight and America are familiar landmarks, while the dance sequences show the score’s rhythmic energy and orchestral detail. Performances by Rachel Zegler, Ansel Elgort, Ariana DeBose and the wider cast connect the songs to the film’s storytelling rather than treating them as isolated standards.

This translucent blue two-record edition presents the soundtrack across four sides, including the instrumental dance passages and the closing credits sequence.
